The Xbox One has a CPU with eight x86-64 cores, 8 GB of DDR3 RAM, a 500 GB hard drive, and a Blu-ray Disc optical drive. The Xbox One will support 4K resolution (3840×2160) video output and 7.1 surround sound. Yusuf Mehdi, corporate vice president of marketing and strategy for Microsoft, has stated that there is no hardware restriction that would prevent games from running at 4K resolution. The Xbox One will support HDMI 1.4 for both input and output. The Xbox One does not have a video output for either composite video or component video.

Backward compatibility:

The Xbox One will not be backward compatible with Xbox 360 content, as the systems use different core architectures. The Xbox 360 uses a PowerPC architecture and the Xbox One has moved to an x86 based one.

In November 2011, series creator, Kazunori Yamauchi told IGN in an interview that he and his team at Polyphony Digital were working on GT6. In March 2012, workers were seen on site at Mount Panorama in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia, photographing and scanning the track. The workers revealed that Mount Panorama will be included in Gran Turismo 6.

In February 2013, Sony’s Computer Entertainment Europe senior vice president Michael Denny claimed that Gran Turismo 6 will remain a PlayStation 3 title, despite the recent unveiling of the PlayStation 4. In April 2013, two separate online retailers, Newegg.com and Multiplayer.com began taking pre-orders for Gran Turismo 6. On the listing page for the game, both retailers presented a release date of November 28, 2013.
Gran Turismo 6 was announced on May 15, 2013, when Sony Computer Entertainment Europe hosted a celebration of the 15th anniversary of Gran Turismo at Silverstone Circuit in the United Kingdom. Kazunori Yamauchi said at the official announcement, Gran Turismo 6 will feature 71 layouts of 33 tracks, 1200 cars, a new flexible rendering engine that features adaptive tessellation, and a redesigned simpler menu interface with faster loading times. Sony has stated a demo of Gran Turismo 6 will be available July 2013.

Following the official announcement, Yamauchi admitted that a PlayStation 4 version of Gran Turismo 6 is under consideration as Polyphony has a next-gen version “in mind”. Gran Turismo 6 is said to retain all tracks and layouts that were in Gran Turismo 5 ex. Le Mans and Daytona and to have new circuits including Mount Panorama and Silverstone.

EA is set to unveil Battlefield 4 late on March 26, after having previously teased an announcement at GDC in San Francisco. They’ve subsequently admitted that this is indeed a Battlefield 4 reveal event, although how much they’ll actually show we’ll have to wait and see.

In the meantime the image above has been posted on website All Games Beta, which has a long history of leaking official promotional images and screenshots ahead of time.

As you can see it not only retains the same art style and colour scheme as Battlefield 3 but the tank and APC, not to mention the smaller image of the jet fighter, all appear to be regular modern day vehicles.

That’s not necessarily a surprise but Battlefield began as a Second World War game and has also dabbled in the Vietnam War and a future setting of 2142.

Although Battlefield 4 wasn’t expected to return to any of those developer DICE has previously hinted that it would have a near future setting. Although that was taken by many to imply something similar to Call Of Duty: Black Ops II, with robots and invisibility cloaks, it could equally just mean something set a few months ahead of now.

It is possible that the image above is purposefully not telling the whole story, but for now it seems as if Battlefield 4 is a direct sequel with the same setting.

In addition, it will include a new handling system that developer Codemasters has dubbed ‘TrueFeel’, which aims to hit a sweet spot between realism and accessibility.

BioShock Infinite is an upcoming first-person shooter video game and the third installment in the BioShock series. Previously known as “Project Icarus”, it is being developed by Irrational Games for a March 26, 2013 worldwide release on the Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 platforms. BioShock Infinite is not part of the storyline of previous BioShock games but features similar gameplay concepts and themes.

Set in 1912 during the growth of American Exceptionalism, the game’s protagonist, former Pinkerton agent Booker DeWitt, is sent to the floating air-city of Columbia to find a young woman, Elizabeth, who has been held captive there for the last twelve years. Though Booker rescues Elizabeth, the two are pursued by the city’s warring factions; the nativist and elite Founders that strive to keep the city for pure Americans, and the Vox Populi, a rebel grouping representing the common people. Booker finds Elizabeth to be central to this conflict, and that she also holds strange powers to manipulate rifts in the time-space continuum that ravage Columbia.

The player controls Booker throughout the game, eventually teaming with the AI-controlled Elizabeth. Like previous BioShock games, the player uses a combination of weapons, gear, psychokinetic powers granted through “vigors” (spells or potions),[1] and Elizabeth’s own powers to fight off hostile foes and make their way through Columbia. In contrast to the limited spaces of the underwater city of Rapture, the open-air city of Columbia provides for more combat challenges, including combat that takes place aboard the city’s Skyline rollercoaster-like rail system. The game will also feature a “1999 Mode”, harkening back to games like System Shock 2 where decisions made by the player will have a more permanent impact on the game, possibly leading the player to an unwinnable situation and requiring a restart from an earlier saved game.

Lead designer Ken Levine was inspired by both historical events at the turn of the 19th century, as well as more recent ones including the “Occupy” protests. The floating city of Columbia was envisioned as a homage to the 1893 Worlds Fair along with other media from the turn of the century, and 2K Marin was brought in to help realize the city in-game. Levine took an unorthodox approach with the voice actors for Booker and Elizabeth, Troy Baker and Courtnee Draper, respectively, by developing the script and details of the story alongside them during their voice work, allowing them to help define the characters and deliver more convincing performances within the game. BioShock Infinite has received early pre-release attention, winning several awards including the “Best of Show” at the 2011 E3 show.

Following the events of Splinter Cell: Conviction, the President of the United States, Patricia Caldwell, officially terminates Third Echelon for its corruption, and orders all their current operations be grounded and dismantled immediately. President Caldwell chooses to replace the agency with the newly-formed “Fourth Echelon” – an elite team of operatives, drawn from different agencies, that operate in a mobile environment and travel the globe performing individual missions assigned by the President. Former Third Echelon agent Sam Fisher is formally appointed Commander of Fourth Echelon – making him head of the agency and the government’s greatest weapon.

While Fourth Echelon conducts their primary mission of shutting down all Third Echelon activities, a group of twelve rogue terrorists initiate a terror ultimatum called “The Blacklist” – a deadly countdown of escalating terrorist attacks on United States assets. Fisher and his team must now track and hunt these terrorists down, by any means necessary, and stop the Blacklist countdown before it reaches zero. Along with President Caldwell, Blacklist sees the return of Fisher’s old ally, Anna ‘Grim’ Grímsdóttir, and will include the addition of new characters such as Isaac Briggs and Charlie Cole.
